Opportunities
We have open research positions for all levels including postdoctoral fellows, residents, MD/PhD students, graduate students, research associates and undergraduates in the PapaG Lab. We are looking for highly motivated, team-oriented candidates who seek to gain research experience and enjoy the excitement of a scientific laboratory and welcome the challenge of an energetic environment that maintains a strong commitment to collegiality and teaching.
We are currently seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to join an interdisciplinary research program focused on how cancer communicates with the nervous system and the rest of the body. As part of the Cancer Grand Challenges InteroCANCEption team, our lab is investigating how tumors are sensed by the host, how neural circuits respond to cancer, and how these interactions shape tumor progression, anti-tumor immunity, metabolism, behavior, and systemic symptoms. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in neuroscience, sensory or autonomic biology, neuroimmunology, behavior, neural circuit mapping, or molecular neuroscience who are excited to apply these approaches to fundamental questions in cancer biology. Prior experience in cancer research is not required. This position offers the opportunity to help build a new interdisciplinary area at the interface of neuroscience, physiology, and cancer, while leading ambitious projects in a highly collaborative and supportive training environment.
If interested please email Dr. Papagiannakopoulos with your scientific interests and a copy of your resume.
